The foundation of CharityShopsUSA is rooted in local action for local impact. We are a Pittsburgh-focused thrift initiative committed to assisting our neighbors facing cancer while funding regional medical breakthroughs. By choosing to donate high-quality secondhand goods or shop our curated selections, you directly advocate for community health and sustainable living—turning simple acts of reuse into powerful support for those who need it most.

Vision and Milestones. We now have a Phone Number!! 412-206-9783

  1. Establish a local community of at least 20 individuals willing to help build this project.
  2. Build this effort so it can quickly convert into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
  3. Collect goods for our first trial “sales day,” ideally in a donated space for this one-day event.
  4. Repeat Step 3 several times while focusing on defining roles and building a strong volunteer backbone.
  5. Apply for 501(c)(3) status.
  6. Open a brick-and-mortar store.
  7. Make it clear at every stage that our goal is to raise funds for LOCAL cancer care and LOCAL cancer research—not for anyone’s individual profit.
